Complete and compliant healthcare registration is a must, and in an ideal situation, any errors that occur are quickly resolved. However, this is often not the reality.

Healthcare organisations frequently deal with large numbers of error worklists. Each item on these lists needs to be checked manually, one by one. With scarce resources and ever-increasing checks, there is often insufficient time to both clear and maintain these lists. This is where Artificial Intelligence and Robotic Process Automation provide critical support.

Reduce administrative burdens with Robotic Process Automation (RPA)

We support healthcare organisations in various ways. One key method is by reducing administrative burdens for healthcare professionals through process automation with RPA. For example:

  • Automatically authorising appointments when all conditions are met.
  • Automatically generating a newborn letter. For example, when a baby is born during the night, many administrative tasks are deferred until morning. The robot takes over these tasks, allowing the staff member to simply collect and send the letter from the printer.

Additionally, we can train employees to automate simple processes themselves and maintain the robots. The robots are developed by our partner, Adasco.

Advanced checks with our intelligent software, Notiz

While we aim to reduce administrative burdens at the start of the process, retrospective checks will always remain necessary. To address this, we offer our software, Notiz. Notiz performs automated checks on the compliance, completeness, and accuracy of registrations.

Ai en rpa

With the integration of AI in Notiz, more precise checks can be performed, including analysing texts and reports in the EHR. AI helps reduce false-positive alerts and enables advanced checks, ensuring employees’ time is used as efficiently as possible.

Currently, 40 generic checks are available and actively used by one or more hospitals. Additionally, 350 checks are in development, undergoing testing in various hospitals. This iterative process improves the model and increases certainty levels. This area is also supported in collaboration with Adasco.

Furthermore, robots can assist with processing alerts generated by the checks!

The possibilities for automation in healthcare administration processes and AI are vast. These solutions help reduce the workload for healthcare professionals and control departments, providing more time to improve processes, better manage financial risks, and focus on strategic projects.
